While a wide it is a very inflexible material. My husband used his wooden shoes trees to stretch them. I’m stilling wearing them around the house to break in the heel. It’s the fabric. Love the style. I own 4 pairs of velvet Strarlings and they slip right on. I’ll stick with that not not branch out.

These are such pretty shoes. When I first put them on, I was ready to return them because the material was hard and they hurt. To my surprise, when I wear them, they are actually very comfortable. I am a "Birdies" fan. I love the comfort.
