Does fabric matter? Yes, velvet has more give and a roomier fit while leather, suede, and calf hair are more snug at first then mold to your foot over time.

Do you wear socks with Birdies? Our flats, slides, and slippers are designed to be worn without a sock but it’s your preference. We recommend socks for most of our sneakers.

How do the flats fit? They’re made to fit snug, so we recommend wearing them without socks.

How do the sneakers fit? They have a roomier fit to move with your every step. We recommend wearing them with socks.

How do the slides fit? They fit true to size so if you like a little length at the back, go up half a size.

Leaning into the colors of the Italian countryside, we played with mixed materials and thoughtfully polished details to update our hand-crafted 70s-inspired sneaker. The temperature, time and formula used on the surface of the glass glaze ceramic beads that adorn our shoelaces creates a natural rustic effect.
