With its rich Sonoma history and bright, airy design, the recently remodeled MacArthur Place felt like the perfect place to shoot our collection of Summer wovens. These lightweight, vegan styles in bold colors and rich, woven textures are made for sunshine, and they were designed with the upcoming Summer season in mind. Bonus: They all feature our signature 7 layers of comfort! We chose the warm & welcoming MacArthur Place—just a short drive from our San Francisco headquarters—to help support Wine Country after such a challenging year. Here, we go behind the scenes of our latest shoot, where our newest flats and slides fit right in.
The Scene
During a complete remodel, MacArthur Place transformed this Victorian B&B into an upscale, 6-acre resort combining the look and feel of a luxury hotel with the farmhouse charm Sonoma is known for. The gorgeous grounds proved the perfect match for our new coffee Starling flats.
Fun Fact
This historic, 150-year-old Sonoma property was originally a family estate, vineyard, and working ranch with prized horses. Our marigold Phoebe slides are just what you need for a stroll around the resort.
Design Detail
The hotel features original art from emerging artists, part of an artist-in-residence program in partnership with LA-based Tappan Collective.
Ladies Who Lunch
Share a few small plates with close friends and sip a signature MacArthur Mule at Layla, the hotel’s new Mediterranean farm kitchen now serving breakfast, lunch, dinner. Our maize Starling flats will lend a bright pop of color and serious style to your meal.
Venturing Out
Slip on our paprika Starling flats, borrow a hotel bike, and ride across the street to Jack’s Filling Station for old-fashioned candies and vintage finds. The shops and cafes surrounding the historic Sonoma Plaza square are also a short ride away.
