Does fabric matter? Yes, velvet has more give and a roomier fit while leather, suede, and calf hair are more snug at first then mold to your foot over time.

Do you wear socks with Birdies? Our flats, slides, and slippers are designed to be worn without a sock but it’s your preference. We recommend socks for most of our sneakers.

How do the flats fit? They’re made to fit snug, so we recommend wearing them without socks.

How do the sneakers fit? They have a roomier fit to move with your every step. We recommend wearing them with socks.

How do the slides fit? They fit true to size so if you like a little length at the back, go up half a size.

We turned up the romance on our Hummingbird flat by adding a sparkly jeweled double string bow atop plush brandy velvet. Crafted with our Barefoot Ballerina technology, this silhouette includes a completely flexible satin-lined footbed that bends with you as if you are barefoot, but still offers full arch support and seven layers of cloud-like comfort. This little gem is complete with our signature grosgrain backtab and gold Birdies logo.
