The four-part, virtual mentorship series kicking off later this Fall will provide career exploration opportunities and skill-building support for girls of color across the country who may be facing systemic barriers. And we want you—our customers, fans, and followers—to get involved! We’ll be selecting mentors from the Step Up and Birdies communities to participate in these impactful sessions. Kicking off on October 27, the four Fly Together sessions will provide eight total hours of mentorship and skill-building lessons. Mentees will have the opportunity to learn from experienced female mentors and fellow peers to gain valuable leadership skills. Over the course of their mentorship, mentees will craft a “Flight Plan” containing strategies and actions that will support their visions of success. The focus will be on building personal and professional relationships, along with identifying and developing social-emotional learning skills needed for future career pursuits. The Fall sessions will be held during October, November, and December, with future Fly Together cohorts planned for Spring and Fall 2022.

Students who complete the Fly Together program will be eligible to apply for future Step Up Experienceships and virtual job shadowing opportunities that provide tangible work experience with various host companies.
